Arm Lift Surgery (brachioplasty)
The pendency at the upper part of the arm is because loosing weight. If you were over fat in a period of your life it means that you have a big risk of having arm lifts. The arm skin stretches after gaining weight. But when those kilos are lost it has difficulties to have the old shape and droop.
Pendency generally occurs at the upper and inside parts of the arm. The pendency except this part is really rare because in the other parts the infra skin tissues are bonded to these muscles very tough and those durable bonds prevents from pendency.
TREATMENT
It is very hard to treat the pendency because if the fat is taken then the pendency of the skin increase. This region is one of the areas that should be very careful for liposuction. The healer is to remove the fat tissue with the skin. Thereby the pendency is fixed but in this surgery an unpleasant seam stays at the back of the arm after the surgery. Therefore I can say that the pendency replaces with the seam. You can accept this seam if you just have arms which drooped excessively.
But do not get depressed though, if the seam is not a problem for you, this surgery is not hard or risky. It lasts 2 hours and can be done by general and local anesthesia.
There is no need of hospital accommodation, the sutures are taken after one week and you get back in your life routine. In the first two weeks you can just do running errands, you can do sports like running which you do not use your arms after 3 weeks and sports like tennis in the 4th week.
TIPS
A mini operation is performed at the armpit level with a new technique. This surgery is appropriate for patients who have less pendency. Remember that the results are mini after all mini surgeries. But I think it can be tried though.
